Neal S. Cukerbaum
Principal Responsibilities: Retail Development
As president of Sandler Southwest Corp. since 1998, Neal Cukerbaum offers more than 30 years of retail development experience in his role as strategic partner with MKP. Over the course of his career, he has been the principal partner in more than 90 retail developments and acquisitions.
Prior to leading Sandler Southwest, Mr. Cukerbaum was senior vice president at Paragon Group from 1998 to 1998. He served Paragon in Dallas as managing partner for commercial development, acquisitions, management and leasing for the Southwest United States. While with Paragon, Mr. Cukerbaum initially joined forces with Doug Knaus, where the two oversaw a national retail portfolio spanning more than 10 million square feet in 10 cities.
From 1979 to 1988, Mr. Cukerbaum held various positions with Cambridge Commerical, including that of president. Here he developed and managed more than 35 shopping centers and seven office/industrial buildings.
Mr. Cukerbaum is an ICSC Certified Leasing Specialist, Certified Shopping Center Manager, and is a past State Director of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is a graduate of University of Texas School of Law and The Wharton School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
