Bruce R. Heller
Principle Responsibilities: Site Analysis, Due Diligence Through Leasing and Occupancy
Mr. Heller, founder of JaRyCo Development, offers Means Knaus Partners unsurpassed, hands-on expertise in commercial real estate development. Through an alliance with his company, Mr. Heller delivers a host of services to Means Knaus Partners, including initial site analysis and due diligence through leasing and occupancy phases. Mr. Heller initially joined forces with Steven A. Means in the development of Colinas Crossing in Dallas, the first project orchestrated by Means Knaus Partners. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Heller served as vice president of development for Means Knaus Partners.
In his career, which spans nearly 30 years, Mr. Heller has been directly involved in the development of more than 5 million square feet of projects, valued at more than $500 million. Mr. Heller began his career as an architect, serving in two firms in the Midwest, prior to joining the Dallas architectural firm of James Harwick & Partners. In 1989, Mr. Heller joined Dallas’s Woodbine Development Corporation. While at Woodbine, he was responsible for such notable projects as the BNRR Command Center, renovation of BNRR Corporate Headquarters and conversion of the former Sanger Harris Building into the Dallas Area Rapid Transit headquarters. Mr. Heller also oversaw more than one million square feet of improvements at several Woodbine-managed office properties.
In 1995, Mr. Heller joined Fults Associates to form Fults Project Services, its project construction management subsidiary. Major projects of this company include the Steak & Ale corporate headquarters, Applied Industrial Regional Facility, Buckner Baptist corporate headquarters, H.D. Vest corporate headquarters and Protection One regional headquarters. In addition to providing construction management services for tenant-representation clients, Mr. Heller initiated third-party fee-development relationships with numerous public and private entities.
Mr. Heller, who earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois, is a registered architect in Texas and Missouri and also holds a Texas Real Estate License. He is a past member of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Allen, Texas, and a member of the Real estate Council and Urban Land Institute.
