Help Send a Wounded Soldier Home for the Christmas Holidays
Houston, November 22, 2011 — Last year’s MKP Soldier Fund was a huge success thanks to the generous contributions of our tenants and employees. We were able to unite 13 soldiers with their families during the Christmas holidays. We are working again with the Warrior Transition Brigade of Fort Hood, Texas and hope to raise even more money to purchase airline tickets to send the wounded soldiers home this year. We are asking for your support again this year so we can reunite these heroes with their families. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the purchase of airline tickets. The recipients will be selected by Fort Hood officials.
Many soldiers benefited from last year’s fundraiser. Here are two of the messages of thanks we received.
“Thank you so much for the flight home to California. The visit with my two-year-old daughter was so unbelievable and made for an unforgettable Christmas and New Year!”

“I am a soldier in the Warrior Transition Unit. I had just arrived at the WTU and my husband had just deployed three days later. I didn’t have the money to fly home or go anywhere else I was invited. So thank you for making my Christmas and New Year’s so special for me. It really meant a lot. I was in tears when they told me I was going home. So thank you and everyone who was involved in making it happen.”

We realize that during the holidays we all have family obligations and numerous opportunities to make very worthwhile donations. We hope that you and your employees could find a few extra dollars to assist us in helping as many soldiers as possible. All of our MKP employees have committed to make a donation for this effort. As we celebrate the holidays, let’s not forget those that risk their lives in our armed services.
We would appreciate it if you would please distribute this request to your employees. Donations can be securely made online by clicking the PayPal “donate” button above or dropped off at our MKP property management offices.
