MKP Builds Hope with Habitat for Humanity
Houston, October 29, 2011 — The Houston MKP office joined forces with Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, October 29th to help with the building of a home in the Milby Park subdivision. Twenty-three project participants represented both MKP and Lexington-MKP. Tasks included installing sheathing, hurricane ties, porch support beams, framing studs, and backing for cabinets. It was a great team-building exercise with the reward of knowing MKP and Lexington-MKP were helping a family build a better life.
Participants included: Courtney Azizeh, Wayne Bartlett, Kevin Cannon, Cheryl Chavira, Craig Clemmer, Peyton Collins, Phil Davis, Jorge Gamez, Brigette Haynes, Neal Hubbs, Lisa Jarmon and her son Korey, Nneka Kimble, James Lott and JaMichael Edwards-Lott (husband and son of Renita Lott), Denice McCorquodale, Lalo Mena, Jonathan Paine, Zeva Perkins, Carol Rodgers, Mary Beth Salas, Renee Scott, and JR West.
All who took part agreed that MKP’s participation with Habitat for Humanity will continue to be an annual event.
