Doug Knaus Honored Among Icons at NAIOP Dinner

Houston, May 11, 2011 — The Houston Chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, recently invited 100 up-and-coming real estate professionals to learn from icons who have helped shape commercial real estate in Houston and beyond.

Dubbed “Dinner with the Icons,” the event was held on May 11th at the River Oaks Country Club in Houston as part of NAIOP’s Developing Leaders program. Guests, all aged 35 or younger, networked, dined and gained valuable insight from a host of industry pioneers and elder statesmen. As the dinner progressed, the nine honored Icons moved among tables, giving the Developing Leaders an opportunity to hear a variety of perspectives and career recommendations from seasoned industry veterans.

Along with Means Knaus Managing Director, Doug Knaus, honored Icons included John Fenoglio, Senior Vice President of Grandbridge Real Estate Capital; Charles Gordon, Executive Vice President of CB Richard Ellis; Alan Hassenflu, Managing Principal and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelis Realty Partners; Larry Heard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Transwestern; Bill McDade, Executive Vice President of CB Richard Ellis; Tim Relyea, Vice Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield, Doug Simpkins, President and CEO of Simpkins Group and Bill Smith, Principal and Chairman of Fuller Realty Partners.
