MKP and Sandler Southwest Join Forces for Retail Development

Houston, May 10, 2011 — Means Knaus Partners L.P. (MKP) is pleased to announce the formation of a strategic partnership with Sandler Southwest, a leading retail property developer and manager headquartered in the Dallas area. Together, the companies will pursue retail acquisition and development opportunities.

MKP founding partner, Douglas A. Knaus, and Sandler Southwest company president, Neal Cukerbaum, have a longstanding professional relationship that spans more than 20 years. Knaus and Cukerbaum initially joined forces while with Paragon Group, where for nine years they oversaw a national retail portfolio spanning more than 10 million square feet in 10 cities.

Within the past 30 years, Cukerbaum has been the principal partner in more than 90 retail developments and acquisitions. He is a past State Director of the International Council of Shopping Centers, a Senior Certified Shopping Center Manager and Certified Retail Leasing Specialist. Cukerbaum is a graduate of The Wharton School and the University of Texas School of Law.
