Means Knaus LA Takes to The Streets at The Midnight Mission
Los Angeles, June 11, 2010 –The Means Knaus Partners management team, tenants and vendors from 707 Wilshire Boulevard / AON Center recently did their part for those in need at The Midnight Mission.
Located in downtown Los Angeles’ Skid Row district, The Midnight Mission is a local, privately funded human resources organization that provides life’s vital essentials to the community’s underserved. Along with healthy meals and comfortable beds, this multifaceted center also offers educational training, employment assistance, family housing, addiction treatment and a host of services promoting recovery and self-sufficiency.
Prior to performing service at the Mission, the AON Center team kicked-off a two-week donation drive to help meet the Mission’s needs for high-demand items. AON Center tenants heartily displayed their generosity, as material donations filled 35 boxes and two trucks, while hundreds of dollars were added to the contribution total.
Along with personally delivering the donations, the MKP team, tenants and vendor participants helped prepare dinner at The Mission. In a brisk two-and-a-half hours, food was served to approximately 400 visitors. The meal even included donated hot dogs from Dodger Stadium, which were handed to Mission guests upon their departure.
Inspired by this experience, the AON Center team plans to do their part for The Mission at least once a quarter. Along with 15 tenant representatives, the team has also formed a Community Outreach Advisory Board, which will organize the building’s activities that serve organizations in the area.
The entire Means Knaus team is sincerely proud of our community-minded Los Angeles leaders. Your good work serves as inspiration for the entire MKP family.
